Now that the Really Old Classics Challenge is over, Rebecca and I would like to say THANK YOU! to everyone who participated. We are so happy that you gave these old classics a chance.

We’d also like your feedback on the challenge so we can make it even better next time around. Please click here to go to the seven survey questions. It will only take a few minutes to answer them and your input will really help us out. Thanks!

If you have something relevant to share with the other participants in the Really Old Classics Challenge, we’d love it if you would send us your guest post pitch, for example:

  • Your experience(s) reading really old classics
  • Your ideas on how to best enjoy a challenging really old classic
  • How to choose a translation
  • Your favorite (or most important works) in a particular classics canon

Contact Rebecca at rebecca[at]rebeccareid[dot]com (@rebeccarreid) or Heather at sharingmystory[at]yahoo[dot]com (@age30books).

This post was inspired by the Blog Improvement Project #21, which is about writing (and pitching!) guest posts.

And we’re off!

November has begun, and so the Really Old Classics Challenge has officially begun. We hope you are ready to tackle a Really Old Classic in the coming months. I’m sure excited to get started myself.

This site will have periodic reading list ideas, it will have guest posts from others that may help you get ideas for what to read next, and it will have “round ups” of your own reviews. So make sure you subscribe to the feed so you’ll get updates.

Most importantly, though, go read a really old classic! That is what this is all about!
